Everyone celebrates the holiday season differently, which is perhaps why we all get invited to so many parties. From office parties, to friends and family to school related festivals, all of the social calendar entries can lead to problems if we aren't careful. Fires, food illness and the ill will of strangers taking your stuff can put a damper on the good times.
Putting lights on trees give a fire the 3 things it needs to get going. The fuel of the tree, heat of the lamp and the air are just waiting to mix. But it wouldn't be the same without decorating the tree and flat out not going to happen we have to make sure that we do the best we can to keep the tree happy. Keep it watered and check the water every day. Don't run the lights overnight and leave a note to Santa to plug in the tree when he drops off the presents.
Getting sick during the holidays is unquestionably the worst thing to do. The top cause is food related illness which in this season and the number of social events attended increases the risk. Some simple tips to remember for you and your guests are to not leave or eat anything perishable out for longer than 2 hours. When refilling perishable dishes, replace the entire bowl rather than refilling. Use tongs or forks when getting food from a buffet because who knows where your hands have been.
To keep your stuff yours a few basic precautions must be followed. Never leave presents visible in the car or anything that looks like a covered gift in the car. Identity and credit card theft usually rise during the season as well because the use of those increase during this time of year. Taking the usual preventative measures will help ensure that the holiday season is to be remembered and not spent dealing with people you wouldn't rather associated. Family excepted of course.
