Ocwen has been Caught Cheating!
For all of you that have ended up with your loan being serviced by a company called Ocwen, they have been caught back dating important letters to borrowers in order to make it impossible for the borrower to comply.
For example, if a borrower is attempting to get a loan modification, there is a rule that once the borrower is approved, they have 30 days to supply information from the approval date. Ocwen has been dating the approval letters and then either not putting them in the mail for 30 days or backdating the letters 30 days and sending them to the borrower. In either case, by the time the borrower has received the 30 day window has expired and the loan modification is denied.
